Former Nsoatreman head coach Maxwell Konadu has relinquished his role as head coach of South African outfit Black Leopards, bringing an abrupt end to his tenure.

The 52-year-old tactician who signed a contract until June 2027 tendered in his resignation to the club's hierarchy on Sunday, in the aftermath of Leopards' 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leruma United.

Konadu, who took the reins at the Venda-based side in July 2024, arrived with lofty expectations due to his vast experience in Ghana's national team setup.

Having served as an assistant coach of the Black Stars in two seperate stints, 2012-13 and 2014-2019, Konadu's appointment was seen as a coup for Leopards.
