The Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, has implored investors to take advantage of the numerous investment opportunities in the region by visiting and exploring available areas such as agribusiness and industrialisation for the mutual benefit of the people.
Mr Gunu said his development agenda for the region was to promote agriculture, agribusiness, health, education, industrialisation and re-construction of roads, saying the establishment of factories in the region was crucial in job creation and reduction of the teaming youth unemployment.
At an engagement with journalists in Ho over the weekend, Mr Gunu noted that as part of the development agenda, the Ho-Denu road re-construction would be one of the first projects to be executed in view of the economic importance of the road in order to facilitate rapid development of the region.
He said the vital role the media played in the development drive of the region over the years could not be overemphasised, and promised to work closely with them to enable him achieve the set development plans he had for the region, hence the decision to meet with the journalist, saying his doors were always opened for constructive criticism that would promote development.
