The Minister-Designate for Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has emphasized the need for increased government participation in the administration of football in Ghana.
According to Adams, the current state of Ghanaian football requires a more hands-on approach from the government to complement the efforts of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking on Point Blank on Eyewitness News on Monday, February 3, 2025, Adams highlighted the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commitment to improving the professional league and revitalising the nation's love for sports.
He argued that leaving football administration solely to the FA has not yielded the desired results, and a collaborative effort is necessary to restore the passion and vibrancy of the sport. "For us as NDC, we have made some commitments to improve the professional league and we are still committed to it.
