Former Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo, has raised concerns about the growing influence of politicians in football, warning that it has caused deep divisions within the game.

Speaking on Sporty FM, Fianoo pointed out that political interference has led to factionalism, with some clubs relegated due to the political affiliations of their owners. "The influx of politicians in our football has led to factionalism.

Some clubs have been relegated just because their owners belong to party A or B," he explained.
