Ghanaian midfielder David Abagna was on target for APOEL Nicosia as they settled for a 2-2 draw against Anorthosis in a thrilling Cyprus League Round 21 clash on Monday.
Abagna opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a well-placed effort, giving APOEL an early advantage.
However, Anorthosis responded swiftly, as Rafael Lopes equalized in the 41st minute before Konstantinos Chrysopoulos completed the turnaround just before halftime.
APOEL came out determined in the second half, and their persistence paid off when Youssef El Arabi restored parity in the 53rd minute.
