Chairman of the Appointments Committee of Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor, has strongly defended the Clerk to the Committee, Gifty Jiagge-Gobah, following criticism from Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
Ahiafor, while apologizing on behalf of the Committee, emphasized Jiagge-Gobah's long-standing dedication and sacrifice, highlighting her as not just an experienced Clerk but also a mother who deserves respect. "She is a mother, and she has been in this House for 19 years.
She doesn't deserve that, so I expect the Minority Leader to be apologising to the Clerk.
He must apologise to the Clerk of the Committee because she doesn't deserve those words," Ahiafor stated in an interview with TV3.
