In May 1972, a mock burial was held in Lagos, Nigeria for former President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. At the time of the event, Nkrumah body which was still being held by the Government of Guinea, was honoured with a symbolic burial in Lagos. In the footage, a sizable crowd is seen following a group of men carrying the casket on a street procession amidst singing and chanting. Nkrumah died in Romania on April 27.
