The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a statement condemning the acts of violence witnessed during the Premier League encounter between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko.

The Week 19 league match on Sunday at Nana Kronamansah Park was interrupted in the second half when alleged supporters of the home team threw objects towards the bench of the visitors.

Subsequently, Kotoko captain Justice Blay was captured throwing an object into the fans before players on the field exchanged punches.

At the height of the lawlessness, a fan of Asante Kotoko was tragically stabbed to death.
