Reconstruction work has commenced on the statue of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi, which was vandalised by unknown individuals on January 13, 2025.
A video from the site of the statue, reportedly shared by the sculptor and ceramist behind the controversial statue, showed the ongoing work at the site.
Two men could be seen digging a round trench at the base of the damaged statue.
The sculptor captioned the video, "Something new is cooking." About the Vandalised statue The statue of Akufo-Addo was completely destroyed after initially suffering some damage, which had been repaired earlier.
