The Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi, , has called on Speaker to adhere to parliamentary procedures following the suspension of four MPs.

The suspended MPs, including Majority and Minority Chief Whips Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor and Frank Annoh-Dompreh, as well as Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli and Jerry Ahmed Shaib, were involved in a brawl on January 30, 2025.

While Oppong Nkrumah acknowledges that the Speaker's decision to suspend the MPs is justified, he emphasises the importance of adhering to established parliamentary standing orders to ensure fairness and due process.

Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV on February 1, 2025, as monitored by , Oppong Nkrumah stated, "While Mr.
