The Minister-Designate for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has debunked claims that 6,000 Ghanaians are set to be deported from the United States.
Speaking during his vetting before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, Ablakwa clarified that official communication from U.S.
authorities confirms only 156 Ghanaians face imminent deportation. "Currently, the official communication the ministry has received from Washington is 156, not 6,200.
These 156 are facing imminent deportation," he stated.
