The Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has firmly rejected claims that the ongoing vetting process in Parliament is being used to settle personal scores.
Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on February 1, 2025, the MP emphasised that his line of questioning during the vetting of ministerial and other appointees is based solely on the need for clarity and accountability.
Assafuah's comments come amid growing public scrutiny of the vetting process, with some critics alleging that certain MPs are using the platform to target individuals for personal or political reasons.
However, the Old Tafo MP dismissed these claims, stating that his questions are aimed at ensuring that nominees are thoroughly scrutinised and held to the highest standards.
