The Minister of Foreign Affairs-designate, , has publicly exposed the Ranking Member of the Appointments Committee, , over claims that he was not scheduled to be vetted as part of the nominees on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Ablakwa, appearing before the committee on Friday, January 31, 2025, strongly refuted Afenyo-Markin's claims, clarifying that he had received an official invitation letter from the clerk, informing him of his scheduled vetting process on the day the chaos erupted.
His statement disproved Afenyo-Markin's claims that he had been smuggled into the vetting process, challenging them to be false. "I want to set the record straight particularly based on that press conference and the subsequent calls from the media.
I hold in my hands a formal invitation letter from this committee signed by the Clerk of the Appointments Committee…" he clarified.
