The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has called on 2024 WASSCE candidates whose results have been held to co-operate with ongoing investigations as well parents and guardians of these candidates.

In a statement by WAEC on January 30, investigations into alleged examination malpractices involving some candidates, for which reason the results are being withheld, is in the final phase.

The Council, with the approval of the Ghana Examinations Committee during its 37th meeting, withheld the subject results of certain candidate and initially announced it in a statement on December 30, 2024, when the provisional results were released.

The statement signed by Head of Public Affairs, WAEC, John Kapi said the scrutiny of the affected scripts has been concluded and candidates involved have been invited to engage with selected WAEC officials.
