The family of a seven-month-old pregnant woman is demanding justice after she was reportedly gang-raped by six armed men in Gambaga in the East Mamprusi District of the Northern Region. According to a JoyNews report, the victim, whose identity has been concealed, along with her husband, were ambushed by the armed men who took turns assaulting her, leaving her in a worse condition. Additionally, the pregnant woman's husband was brutally assaulted, and beaten, with their mobile phones and motorbike stolen by the armed men. The couple were returning from a check-up at the hospital in Nalerigu when the incident occurred on the Gambaga- Dagbireboare Road. The grandfather of the victim, who confirmed the incident in an interview with JoyNews, said the incident traumatized his granddaughter, who had to be rushed back to the hospital for treatment on the day of the incident.
