Professor of Political Science at the University of Ghana, Ransford Gyampo, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.

His appointment, made by President John Dramani Mahama, sees him replacing Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2024.

Gyampo, a respected academic and political analyst is expected to bring his expertise in governance and public administration to the leadership of the Authority, which plays a critical role in regulating Ghana's shipping and logistics sector.
