A group of concerned members from the (NDC) in the Asuogyaman Constituency of the Eastern region has petitioned the party's headquarters, urging the withdrawal of one Bright Sikanku's nomination for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Asuogyaman District.
The petition, submitted on January 29, 2025, accuses Sikanku, the current NDC Constituency Chairman, of submitting alleged false academic qualifications in his nomination forms.
In the petition, the group claims that Sikanku falsely listed a Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management from the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) as part of his credentials.
However, an investigation revealed that Sikanku had never attended or graduated from GCTU, with the university providing a formal report to confirm that no such qualification was awarded to him.
