A Professor of Paediatric Clinical Pharmacology, University of Ghana Medical School, Professor George Obeng Adjei, has advocated the establishment of a children research institute in the country. "Ultimately, I have a strong advocacy that we should establish a child health research institute in Ghana.
We've had Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, and other health research institutes.
They are doing exceptionally good work, but it so happens that at times their attention is focused elsewhere," he said.
Professor Adjei who is also the Director of the Centre for Tropical Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics made the call during his inaugural lecture in Accra on Thursday.
