Veteran coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong has voiced his concerns over the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) decision to revamp the Black Stars technical team.

The changes, which include the appointment of Winfried Schafer as Technical Advisor and Director of Football, have sparked debate within Ghana's football circles.

JE Sarpong believes the move is reactionary rather than strategic. "The people listed are they going to play the World Cup or what that is a complete team.

it is an act of desperation they are acting under desperation that is they should have contacted stakeholders who have knowledge in football," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com. "It is not that we don't know anything during CK Gyamfi's time we said they were "kolo" they were not using laptops they were not using computers but they brought cups to Ghana and we were all happy," he added.
