In the wake of a disappointing performance in the 2024 elections, there has been much speculation about the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) morale.

However, Honourable Afenyo-Markin, a prominent figure in the party and the current Minority leader has made it clear that he is not in a position to assess how his colleagues are feeling.

Instead, he emphasized the need for the NPP to return to its foundational work and focus on recovery. "I can't speak for how they feel, but what I know is this is not the first time the NPP has faced such a defeat, and it certainly won't be the last," Afenyo-Markin remarked with confidence. "We've seen this before, and we've come back stronger.

Our focus now should be on recharging, recovering, and preparing for what comes next." Drawing from past experiences, Afenyo-Markin pointed out that losses in both the presidential and parliamentary elections are not new for the NPP.
