Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars following the announcement of a new management committee and revamped technical team.

Ghana's failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has sparked widespread disappointment, with the team enduring a winless qualifying campaign.

However, Okraku believes that, with unity and determination, Black Stars can rise again. "With the announcement of both the management committee of the Black Stars and a revamped technical team, it's now our time to be truly Ghanaian and get behind our team once again," Okraku urged in a statement. "Ghana, our beloved country, has gone through this challenging period before, but by sticking together, we always came out stronger.

In humility, determination, and oneness, we have and will bring smiles back to our people with your support." The technical restructuring includes the appointment of Winfried Anton Schäfer, a 2002 AFCON-winning coach with Cameroon, as Technical Advisor and Director of Football.
