Professor Samuel Akoriyea Kaba has been appointed acting director general of the Ghana Health Service.

He brings a wealth of experience to this role, having served as Director of the Institutional Care Division (ICD) for over 12 years, Deputy Director of the National Ambulance Service for over 7 years, where he played a key role in establishing the National Ambulance Service, and currently as Director of Special Duties and Neurosurgery Training.

Speaking at the hand over ceremony at the Ghana Health Service head office in Accra, Professor Kaba pledged to help implement the NDC's campaign promises on the health sector in its manifesto and to immediately deal with the current cholera and meningitis outbreak. " the vision of the party, the government and his excellency the president, is what I'm here to implement and make sure we achieve.

That is what he promised the people of Ghana and that is what the people of Ghana are expecting.
