Nana Ato Dadzie, Lawyer for Oliver Baker-Vormawor has told the Appointments Committee of Parliament that his client did not intend to denigrate the committee with the bribery allegation.
Appearing before the committee, on Wednesday, January 29, he said "It was never intentional to make disparaging comments about the committee." He added, "It is the statement of a whistleblower about some happenings that must be looked at." Barker-Vormawor appeared before the committee over the allegation that committee members take monies to approve ministerial nominees.
The Committee in responding to the allegations denied his claim that some members have requested monies from ministerial nominees to approve their nomination.
