The Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has apologised to Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the Defence Minister-designate, following a misunderstanding over the scheduled time for the latter's vetting.

Dr Omane Boamah arrived later than expected for his vetting on January 28.

This prompted the Minority Leader to rebuke him for being late.

It later emerged that the delay was due to a miscommunication regarding the time communicated to the nominee.
