Minister-designate for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has assured the Appointment Committee that he would be impartial in his service to the nation if approved by the House and sworn into office.

He made the assurance that when asked whether he would resign from his position as Director of Elections and IT of the NDC so that you can be impartial.

In answering this question, Dr Omane Boamah told the committee that his work as the director of IT and Elections for the NDC has come to an end. "No Ghanaian should have any fear about my impartiality.

In fact, I can be the chairperson of the EC and I will be impartial, that is my nature. "Trust me, whether I was going to be appointed or not I took up the job of director of elections of the NDC purposely for the 2024 general elections. "Immediately after the elections, I told them my job was done.
