Social activist, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has rendered an apology to the Appointments Committee of for a post he made on social media which members of the committee view to be an attack on their reputation.

In his apology, Barker-Vormawor, who is also a legal practitioner, clarified that his post was not meant to denigrate the committee or accuse its members of engaging in corrupt practices. "Mr.

Chairman, I am saying here clearly that my post was not intended to disparage members of the committee and I have not intended to say that members of this committee have received or demanded bribes from various individuals.

At no point was my statement intended to communicate same and for those reasons I apologise," he apologised.
