Counsel for activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Nana Ato Dadzie, has stated that the claim made by his client in a social media post was not directed at the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

Nana Ato Dadzie however mentioned that his client is willing to offer a public apology to the Appointments Committee for making disparaging comments about its members.

Appearing before the Committee on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Barker-Vormawor denied the allegations but clarified that a post on his Facebook page, which accused all committee members of taking bribes before vetting, was not intended to disparage them. "The statement said that NDC members of the Appointments Committee take money from Mahama's ministerial nominees before approving them.

They must submit themselves to ORAL, and this is not from Barker-Vormawor; it is fake.
