Defence Minister-designate, Dr.
Edward Omane Boamah, has called for a more strategic approach to tackle galamsey, the term for illegal mining in Ghana.
Speaking during his vetting by the Appointments Committee on Tuesday, January 28, Dr.
Boamah noted that addressing illegal mining in Ghana should not solely focus on the use of military intervention in addressing the issue.
