Former Accra Lions coach Ibrahim Tanko is in advanced discussions to take over as head coach of Medeama SC after parting ways with Accra Lions earlier in the season.
Tanko, who previously served as Ghana's assistant coach, is eager to take on the challenge, and Medeama are equally keen to secure his services following a string of disappointing results.
Medeama have struggled in recent matches, failing to win their last four games, including back-to-back losses to Accra Lions and Berekum Chelsea.
These poor results have hampered their title aspirations, leaving them eight points behind the leaders in the Ghana Premier League.
