Ebi Bright, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tema Central Constituency, has filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the declaration of Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as Member of Parliament for the constituency.
The petition, filed on January 22, 2025, alleges electoral irregularities and misconduct during the December 7, 2024, parliamentary elections.
Ebi Bright claims in her petition that the Electoral Commission (EC) wrongfully declared Charles Forson as the winner despite alleged discrepancies in the election results.
She is contesting the EC's final tally and is calling for the court to annul the declaration or order a re-election in the constituency.
