Bawku Central Member of Parliament and Majority Leader, , has reiterated the government's firm commitment to establishing the Kusaug Region, underscoring its significance for peace and development in the area.
During an interview on Channel One TV on January 27, Ayariga elaborated on the rationale behind the initiative, highlighting the unique security challenges and the prospects for better resource allocation that the new region would bring.
He emphasised the distinct security issues prevalent in the area as a primary reason for considering the creation of a new region. "We have a peculiar security situation, and we did an analysis of it. "That was what led us to consider the establishment of a region to provide a framework to ensure lasting peace," he stated.
Moreover, the Majority Leader discussed the economic advantages of forming the Kusaug Region.
