The Upper West Region has recorded 17 suspected cases of cerebrospinal meningitis (CSM), resulting in six confirmed deaths, according to Dr.

Collins Boateng Danquah, Deputy Director of Public Health.

The cases have been reported across six of the region's 11 districts, with the Nadowli/Kaleo District and Nandom Municipality bearing the highest toll.

Of the suspected cases, seven have been confirmed.
