The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced its immediate withdrawal from all platforms operated by Media General.
This decision, outlined in a statement signed by the party's Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, follows ongoing concerns regarding alleged bias and unprofessionalism in the media group's political coverage.
The statement reveals that the NPP has been in discussions with Media General since 2023 to address issues of perceived unfair treatment, such as unbalanced panel discussions, disruptive hosting, and repeated attacks on prominent party figures.
However, the party claims that these concerns have not been adequately addressed despite assurances of reform.
