Youth activist and private legal practitioner Oliver Barker Vormawor has urged the president of Ghana to revoke all 2000 mining licenses issued by the previous government.

This call comes on the back of reports suggesting some groups are mining in forest reserves.

To Oliver Barker Vormawor, it is imperative that after these licenses are revoked, a moratorium is put on new ones that will be given.

He is of the view that it is time for a major reset in the country's relationship with the environment.
