Former SRC President for the University of Ghana and now Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, has addressed concerns being raised about the 20% increase in hall fees by the University of Ghana Management.
He is of the view that even though the decision to increase the fees is not right, student leaders of the university's decision to politicize it does not make sense.
Edem Abgana believes that the issues must be addressed bereft of politics in order to reach a solution favourable to all students. "It is deeply disappointing for anyone; especially student leaders who should know better to propagate this baseless claim that the NDC has increased hall fees.
Such assertions lack merit and are a deliberate attempt to mislead the public," he said.
