The Technical Advisor for the UK Ghana Gold Program, Dr. Steve Manteaw, is of the view that instead of privatizing the Electricity Company, Ghana, political meddling must rather be insulated.
Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has hinted that the government intends to privatise ECG.
His argument is that just like political meddling has been insulated from GCB and Goil, if same is done with ECG, the power producer will be viable and will not have to be privatized.
Dr Steve Manteaw made this known in a post shared via social media amidst call for the privatization of ECG.
