A rainstorm has caused significant damage in Tepa Abonsuaso within the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, leaving four individuals with varying injuries.
The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) reported that the storm, which occurred on Friday, tore the roofs of more than 20 buildings, displacing over 70 households.
Frederick Nyamekye, the assembly member of Abonsuaso electoral area, spoke to the media and expressed that the situation was devastating. "As a result of the heavy rain yesterday, many people have lost the roofs of their buildings, and some sustained injuries, including children in schools," he said.
Antwi Ernest, the NADMO Zonal Coordinator for Tepa Abonsuaso, stated that his team has been visiting the victims to assess the extent of the damage. "We have toured the area to witness the situation.
