The Northern Regional Branch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended the Tamale North Chairman of the political party, Mr Mohammed Fuseini Sadat.
The decision to suspend Mohammed Fuseini Sadat comes on the back of a petition presented to the party by polling station executives of the Tamale North constituency.
The petition cites various concerns and several breaches and violations of the party's constitution.
Among other things, Mohammed Fuseini Sadat was accused of shooting and injuring one Mr Karim Alhassan, a polling station organizer, over a misunderstanding on the night of January 17, 2025.
