Sulemana Braimah, the Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), has expressed sharp criticism regarding the monetisation of politics and governance in Ghana.

He argued that financial benefits often outweigh competence and expertise in political appointments during an interview on JoyNews' Newsfile, "Sometimes it's not about the skills.

It's not about the expertise.

I keep saying that at this stage until something changes, our politics and our governance is really about money-making," Braimah stated, pointing to a systemic issue that prioritises personal gain over national service.
