Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, has expressed worry over the monetization of Ghana's politics.
He argues that unlike previously when political parties had to headhunt for bright candidates into the lawmaking house, now people with deep pockets just come, and because of their money, they are given the nod.
Felix Ofosu Kwakye made this known through a statement he read on the floor of Parliament.
To him, if this continues, quality will take a back seat, and that will affect the governance of the country. "There will be a need for intra-party reforms in terms of the way that candidates are selected to contest for parliament.
