President John Dramani Mahama's commitment to running a lean yet efficient government continues to draw public attention and discussions.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, spokesperson for the president, emphasized this during an appearance on Key Points on TV3, stating that the administration's decision to streamline governance has received broad acceptance from Ghanaians. "Ghanaians have accepted that we will have the leanest and most efficient government," Kwakye Ofosu remarked, underscoring the president's dedication to fiscal prudence and effective administration.

He further elaborated on the strategic approach, highlighting that the government's reduced size would not compromise its ability to deliver on its promises. "These are some of the ways the president can save money and get the job done, and by and large, Ghanaians have accepted this," he said.

The Mahama administration plans to operate with just 60 ministers, a stark contrast to the over 120 ministers appointed during Nana Akufo-Addo's presidency.
