Former Deputy Defense Minister, Kofi Amankwa-Manu, has stressed the need for a commission of inquiry to be set to investigate events leading to the death of 9 illegal miners in Obuasi.

The Atwima Kwawonma MP, made the statement on the floor of Parliament on January 22.

He observed the act of some youth attacking private entities across the country could threaten inflow of foreign investments.

He urged President Mahama to show commitment to halting these sporadic attacks.
