Ghanaians have always held their leaders to high standards, and Felix Ofosu Kwakye, acting Spokesperson for President John Dramani Mahama, believes the expectations have grown even more pronounced.
Speaking on Key Points on TV3 monitored by MyNewsGh, Ofosu Kwakye reflected on the decisive mandate given to Mahama and the weight of responsibility it carries.
His remarks came amidst a heated public debate over the president's decision to dismiss Naa Momo Lartey after she arrived late to the swearing-in ceremony for newly approved ministers. "Ghanaians have significant expectations of the government led by John Dramani Mahama, following their decisive mandate for him to lead the nation," Kwakye noted, setting the stage for a broader defence of the president's actions.
Addressing the controversy surrounding Lartey's dismissal, he explained that much of the criticism fails to account for the complex circumstances surrounding the incident.
