Members of the National Democratic Congress in Ahafo Ano South West Constituency in the Ashanti Region have expressed confidence that the directive by President John Mahama for investigation to commence into the electoral violence in the just ended election will yield a positive result.
The political group has however sent a message of caution to members of the New Patriotic Party in the constituency to desist from peddling falsehood on circumstances that led to the death of one Dominic Nino who was shot at the collation centre. "The elected Member of Parliament, Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah is jumping from one radio station to the other to misinform the general public about the death of Dominic.
He claims the deceased was his close ally and a member of NPP, yet he (Elvis) was the one who called the soldiers to come to the collation centre.
Dominic was a committed member of the NDC, and we will ensure that justice is served to us", Abubakar Sedik, 2024 NDC parliamentary candidate for Ahafo Ano South West said during a press conference.
