President John Dramani Mahama has instructed all appointees in his administration to declare their assets, with the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, set to announce a deadline for the submission of asset declaration forms.
Speaking after swearing in his ministers on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the seat of government in Accra, President Mahama emphasised the importance of transparency, stating, "I expect all of you to begin the process of declaring your assets.
The Chief of Staff will announce the cutoff date by which time all eligible appointees should have deposited their asset declaration forms with the Auditor General." He wished the appointees success in their new roles and pledged to work closely with them going forward.
During the ceremony, President Mahama specifically addressed the newly appointed ministers, setting out their key expectations.
