In an interview with GHOne TV on January 22, 2025, Bansah discussed the recent attacks on AngloGold Ashanti's operations in Obuasi by illegal miners, resulting in the loss of life and property.
Bright Bansah noted that the conflict in Obuasi is not an isolated incident, but rather a symptom of a broader issue affecting many mining communities in Ghana.
He cited economic, ecological, and cultural factors as contributing to these conflicts.
