A vice president of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, has claimed that the state is likely to lose the Achimota Forest Reserve in Accra. In a post shared on Facebook on Sunday, August 19, 2024, Kofi Bentil indicated that the forest is likely to be captured from the state if nothing urgent is done. He added that he has been fighting to prevent the capture of the forest but it is time more Ghanaians join. "Achimota Forest is at risk of being stolen. I've fought to preserve it. It's time to see others join to protect it.
