Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has suggested a review of the District Assemblies Act to encourage community-specific tourism initiatives.

During her vetting on Wednesday, January 22, the Ketu South MP highlighted the potential for improvement in tourism at the district levels, suggesting that an updated legal framework could foster innovation and creativity in local tourism. "The District Assemblies Act should be reviewed, and as a lawyer, I'll need your help on that.

The district assemblies have the opportunity to each develop tourism specifically for their communities," she stated.

She also underscored the need to revive the Centers for National Culture across the country, seeing them as vital hubs for nurturing young talent and showcasing Ghana's rich cultural heritage.
