Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has underscored the importance of investing in and promoting cruise and boat tourism in Ghana.
Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 22, 2025, she expressed concern over the lack of focus on cruise tourism, highlighting its untapped potential for boosting the country's tourism sector.
She pledged to engage with cruise facility operators to explore opportunities and gain insights into how Ghana can develop and capitalize on this niche market. "It's an area that people have passion for, and it must be invested in and supported.
It's an area that has been brought to my attention and the potential seems to be like a very good one.
