The Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira branch of the has dismissed claims that its chairperson, Augustina Ama Tebua Kwofie, campaigned against the party's interest in the 2024 elections.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, January 21, 2024, the NDC in the Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira constituency stated that at no point in the 2024 election campaign did Augustina Ama Tebuah Kwofie advocate for 'skirt and blouse' voting.

The party denied the allegation that Augustina Kwofie campaigned for John Dramani Mahama in the presidential race but went against the NDC's Kofi Arko Nokoe in the parliamentary race. "A recent publication on the front page of the New Crusading Guide falsely claimed that the constituency chairman of Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira campaigned for 'skirt and blouse' voting before the 2024 General Election. "We, the constituency executives and the grassroots of the NDC in the Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency, categorically deny this allegation and deem it necessary to set the record straight.

This baseless accusation is not only a gross misrepresentation of facts but also a deliberate attempt to mislead the public," parts of the statement read.
